Providing commercial real estate and building management for today’s world requires expertise, passion and a commitment to understanding our tenant's needs. We are committed to find the right fit for our clients and to assure their space is best suited for them.
Three generations after John Picotte founded Picotte Real Estate in 1933 the company has passed through the leadership picked up by John’s sons Bernard and Clifford to Bernard’s sons John and Michael and Clifford’s son William until he passed in 2021. While they maintain leadership roles today, we have added non-family members to the list of leadership of the Picotte Companies. This includes Chief Operating Officer Nancy Carey Cassidy and Chief Financial Officer Kevin Cavallaro. We now enter our 90th year of prominence in the Capital Region real estate community. Beginning in 1961 the company shifted to larger projects with the construction of 111 Washington Avenue in downtown Albany. A renovation of the façade of the building is now complete, bringing it up to date with the current downtown landscape. Over the past nine decades the company has grown and built many large scale projects, such as 44 Holland Avenue in Albany, 50 Wolf Road in Colonie and 625 Broadway in downtown Albany. All of these projects have been collaborations with the State of New York, which now retains title to those properties.
The company embarked on its most ambitious project in the late 70’s and early 80’s with the Corporate Woods Office Park, connecting a large parcel to be developed directly to Interstate 90. Other properties developed by Picotte Companies include 1215 Western Avenue, 1450 Western Avenue, 80 Wolf Road, One Park Place, 59 Wolf Road, and One Liberty Square in Schenectady. All of our properties combined reflect a portfolio in excess of 2 million square feet today. At Picotte Companies, we seek to accommodate our tenants and potential tenants whenever such a need arises. We do everything we can to ensure the best results for everyone.
